Ingredients: Cooking Spray 1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking soda 2 Tbs. ground flax meal 1 Tbs. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1/3 cup fat free or low fat plain yogurt 3 very ripe, organic bananas, mashed 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 Tbs. turbinado sugar (“Sugar in the Raw”)
Method: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray an 8in x 4in metal loaf pan with cooking spray; set aside. Whisk together both flours, baking soda, flax meal, 2 tsp. Cinnamon, and salt; set aside.
2. Cream together butter and sugar using a mixer. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in yogurt, bananas, and vanilla. Fold in flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Spoon batter into loaf pan.
3. Stir together turbinado sugar and remaining 1 tsp. Cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of the banana bread. Bake 55 – 60 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly then remove from pan.
Chef's Tip: If using a glass baking pan, decrease cooking time by 5 to 10 minutes.

Notes from Cindie:
1. This is more a bread than a dessert. A lot of banana breads are sweet, but this one goes great with butter on it. It has cinnamon and sugar in it, as well as sprinkled on top, so it does have the sweet taste to it, but it's not as sweet as a lot of banana breads that go great if you throw some chocolate chips or peanut butter chips in the batter! This one would go great with pecans or even walnuts in it, but as a personal preference, I don't throw them in. But if you would like to add some to it, just add how ever much you'd like, there would be no exact measurement on that.
2. I added an extra teaspoon of cinnamon into the first step and it added just an added touch of cinnamon and was great! My husband prefers it with the extra cinnamon too, as well as my daughter!
3. Ground flax meal was a challenge for me to find in my small town. However, I found it at Wal-mart, but then I had the problem of finding just a small box of it. I did however find the travel packs of it and those are great because it's easy to measure! Each packet is 1 Tbs, so for each recipe, you'll only need two of those packets!
4. This bread can be highly addictive! Bobby does say "no hash before 9 A.M., but since I'm not one of those people who would use drugs in the food I make (especially since I am a mom), I mean it's one of those foods that you just can't stop eating! Especially if you love banana bread!
