Full Personality:
I'm one of those tough as nails lawman. I lay down the law in Washington. It's my town. What I say goes. Do I always go by the book? Well the answer is no. Have I ever broke the law? The answer is no as well. It's more a question of bending the law somewhat. My town is safe and a somewhat clean town. Except for the garbage on the edge of town. I let the kids handle them though.
I don't wear my heart on my sleeve either. My kids are another story to me. I had a good role model in that department. Us Morgan's may love our job, but family comes first. Has been that way since before me and will stay that way.

History:
Some of my first memories of are my old man coming home from a long day at work. Right inside the doorway he would take off his gunbelt and hang it up beside the door along with his old hat that I swear was rotting away. My mother would be waiting and he would pull her into his embrace kissing her and holding her to him for a few moments. It wasn't until I was married and had my own kids that I understood this. Now I would give anything to have those moments with my own wife back.
He'd go straight to the crib then and look down at my baby brother asleep in the crib with a smile on his face After that he would head to my other brother and I and hug us both. Then it was time to wash up and have supper. There was never any talk of his work at the table. At that time I had no idea what he did all I knew is he wore this shiny star on his chest. Some nights his brothers would join us as well and they wore the same stars on their chests.
By the time I was ten I knew what I was going to be when I grew up. The sheriff of Washington just like my old man and his before him. A Morgan had been the sheriff of the town since the beginning of it. My dad was my hero. My uncles came and went from town branching out to parts unknown that I had no desire to see. Everyone in town knew who my dad was and my grandfather. I was thirteen when my grandfather was killed in a shootout. One that Washington shouldn't have been in. They'd been called in to a neighboring county to help settle the dispute.
That week of the funeral the town was taken over by Morgans. Cousins that I had never met before and would probably never see again till the next time a funeral rolled around. Day after the funeral the only Morgans left in town was my old man and my brothers and I.
I joined the force when I turned eighteen. I lived and breathed by the code of the Morgan family. Unlike my brothers who lit out as soon as they had graduated from high school. They could have the bright lights of those cities I had no need for them. The stars were more than enough for me.
I was twenty years old when we were called in to back up some high mountain rangers up in the mountains. That was the day I met Sarah. There had been a few girls before her, but none of them stayed in Washington. I knew from the moment I saw her she was for me. There was just one obstacle in my way and that was her twin brother. That didn't detour me though. Three months later we were married. A year later we had a daughter and named her Sawyer. We were only blessed with one more child and that was Jacob. Seven wonderful years later my life was shattered when word came that she'd died in a high mountain rescue. From that I've never really recovered, but I had to go on for my children.
My wife's twin brother blamed himself for the accident and became a recluse up in the mountains. I would check on him from time to time trying to get the notion out of his head, but he wouldn't listen. I for one never blamed him. Sarah died doing something she loved doing. I let the job fall to my kids when they became teenagers to go and check on him. Speaking of my kids both of them joined me at the office. It's still a family business, but I do wonder if either of them will ever settle down to carry on the line of Morgans. Only time will tell though.
